
Karpah Construction was established on 18 April 2001, based upon a solid reputation of market excellence, known for our quality, stability and innovative leadership. After the closing of Lofty's Construction, Karpah took over the reigns and completed two of Lofty's Construction projects and has since expanded to servicing the commercial, industrial and residential markets of South Africa.
Since our establishment, we have gained recognition for our attention to detail and our ability to provide knowledge driven and cost saving solutions for complex construction projects, in addition to our dedication to all our clients, irrelevant of the project size. Management

Reggie Mutsi
Reggie Mutsi joined Robert Construction after completion of his tertiary education. During his tenure at Robert Construction,the company amalgamated and Murray and Roberts was established as one of the leading industry giants. After several years with Murray and Roberts,this forthcoming businessman,was offered the opportunity to enter into the managerial leadership of the taxi industry as Managing Director of Santaco Trading. He was the pioneer of the economic wing of the industry, and soon after he was approached by both the industry and Government to head the taxi Recapitalization programme for the SA National Taxi Council.
In parallel strides he was the pioneer and Chief Executive Officer of SANTRADE, formed in support of industry demands.
In 2005 his career change ensured expanding his business interest and he acquired a new fuel station in Welkom, and simultaneously establishing his own Construction company called 24tm Bokamoso. With his extensive knowledge in the construction industry, the company grew from strength to strength,constructing Sewer pipes in Monyakeng Municipality,laying new water pipelines for the Setsoto Municipality for a 14 kilometer distance.He also succesfully completed the construction of RDP houses for the Provincial Department of Human Settlement in various towns in the Free State.
In an effort to synergize resources and enhance skills development,he bought shares in a reputable construction company,Karpah,which had been in existence for more than 15 years and had 7 CIBD grading in 2011. His contributions and effort is intended to ensure growth of the company to the better. This is what he had to say:

Piet du Plessis
Piet Du Plessis joined Lofty's Construction (Pty) Ltd in 1990 as Quantity Surveyor, with his primary responsibilities including, but not limited to the financial aspects of various contracts, including monthly claims, re-measurement of works and pricing of variation orders, recommendation of sub contractor payments and settling of final accounts on completion of these contracts. In 1996 he was appointed as a Director of P.M. Thusanang Construction (Pty) Ltd., primarily responsible for the financial management of the company, with a turnover of between 8 and 12 million rand annually. Since 1997 he played a crucial part in the tender process of new contracts, preparing and advising clients on cash flows as well as escalation predictions on non fixed contracts.

Brenda du Plessis
Brenda Du Plessis is extensively involved in communication facilitation between key role players, acquiring project specific information and managing sub-contractor agreements and compliance documentation. Her expertise spanned estimating and assisting in the day to day operations of various projects, with specific reference to the financial administration, management and support function rendered. Her skills and expertise with on-site management, includes the Welkom Square Shopping Centre (which included a 6 000 square meter Game store and various line shops) and Phoenix Motors consisting of a showroom, offices and a service centre.

We support our clients from project inception, to the commissioning of the fully operational facility. And our network of local offices enables us to offer our clients the dual advantage of a strong local presence and broad geographic reach.
We also employ local labour in whichever area we are working, based on our philosophy of community enrichment and involvement. These individuals are appointed as sub-contractors or temporary workers during the duration of the contract and as the need arise.
